NOMS

noms-screenshotUnderstanding and managing aircraft noise in the community is a critical success factor for all airports. AirScene.com NOMS (Noise and Operations Monitoring System) is the industry’s first web-based system for monitoring, reporting, and displaying noise and flight track data. The web-based architecture gives AirScene.com NOMS the advantage of quick installation, reduced hardware cost, faster service and support, increased reliability, and greater availability.

The revolutionary AirScene.com NOMS uses the internet and a secure central processing and storage facility to collect, store, process, and display the data collected as part of a noise and flight track monitoring system. AirScene.com NOMS installs easily because there is little, if any, local hardware to install. Data from the flight tracking system, noise monitors, and other local data acquisition systems is sent over the internet to the centralized storage facility. All maintenance, backup, and troubleshooting is completed by the central facility staff. This reduces the amount of time required to fix a problem as no travel to the local site is required. The centralized data storage facility is maintained by professional network and database engineers who monitor and maintain the equipment to insure reliable service.

Era is the only company that offers a fully integrated and independent flight tracking solution based on ATC-quality multilateration surveillance technology. As a result, airports benefit from real-time unrestricted access to flight track information to support the community and to develop historical and predictive noise contours.

AirScene.com Modules

FliteGraph
The locally installed software that handles in-depth graphical analysis including animation, track density plots, average track plots, gate, corridor, route and PCA analysis, automatic and manual noise, flight and complaint correlation, GIS functions, profiles, complete user-defined display options, and many more features.

DVR (Digital Voice Recorder/Player)
Recording and re-playing of ATC radio frequencies and audio from noise monitors.

Communicator Software
Interaction with noise monitors from a PC for real-time noise level display and system maintenance.

Pocket Communicator
Noise monitor uploading, downloading, and configuration control using an iPAQ hand-held device.

Noise Monitor Integration
AirScene.com NOMS integrates with most major noise monitors including B&K, Larson-Davis, and Tracor. There is no need to purchase proprietary noise monitors for AirScene.com NOMS.

Noise Office Functions
Era staff can remotely perform noise office functions such as publishing and distributing reports, analyzing data, and responding to complaints.

Customer Support Hotline
Era maintains a telephone hot-line and 24-hour web-based trouble reporting and tracking. The trouble reporting web page offers active monitoring and system status of all AirScene.com NOMS systems including the automatic daily backups, noise monitor health, and server status.

Community Web Portal
Era has designed and currently hosts several community web sites to improve an airport’s interaction with the public. Era’s WebScene interactive web portal includes features such as online complaint entry, report viewing, address location, noise abatement information, historic replay, and other community relations functions.
