One of the largest operations and environmental management systems in the country, DFW has 35 permanent noise monitoring terminals located throughout the neighboring residential communities. Together, Rannoch and BAE offer DFW access to cutting edge operations monitoring technology such as web-based functionality, and real-time autonomous flight tracking systems. Previously, under contract to FAA and NASA,Rannoch implemented and evaluated several new aircraft tracking technologies at DFW, including surface and gate tracking technologies, inductive loop technology, multilateration, and Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B). In addition, the company conducted extensive testing of the PathProx runway incursion and alerting system at DFW in a series of trials using commercial wide-body aircraft. Rannoch’s new AirScene technology offers DFW easy access to airport management applications for surface surveillance, automated billing, FIDS and gate management systems, powered by Rannoch’s patented multilateration system. “We are pleased to continue providing leading edge aerospace technologies to DFW International Airport,” stated Robert Blair, Rannoch’s Commercial Sales Manager. “This is yet another example of DFW’s commitment to take an industry leadership position in airport operations and environmental management through the use of the state-of the-art technologies.” Serving over 60 million passengers annually,DFW is the third busiest airport in the world, with over 800,000 aircraft movements and 750,000 tons of cargo recorded annually. The airport offers almost 2000 flights per day and provides non-stop service to 135 domestic and 39 international destinations worldwide. Rannoch’s AirScene technologies include multilateration for en route, terminal area, and wide area tracking, ADS-B, Traffic Information Services Broadcast (TIS-B), and airport enterprise management systems. The company has over 20 patents issued and pending, covering many aspects of flight tracking, vehicle monitoring, reporting, and target processing technologies. Due to patented architectural features, Rannoch’s multilateration tracking technologies are capable of providing more extensive real-time wide area coverage than any other multilateration-based systems. |
