Reston, VA – March 7, 2008 – Era Corporation will once again serve as a premier sponsor for ATC Global 2008, the world’s largest air traffic management event. ATC Global takes place March 11th-13th at the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center in The Netherlands.  The event brings together leading Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) to advance the goals of the global air traffic management community and review new technologies.

Era will present two next-generation technology seminars during the event.  On March 12 at 1:00PM, Era’s Vice President and General Manager for the Air Traffic Management business unit, Russell Hulstrom, will lead a presentation on the Global Developments in ADS-B and Wide Area Multilateration (WAM).  On March 13 at 2:30PM, Dr. Werner Langhans, Era’s Director of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, will lead a seminar on surveillance services, a discussion on the safety, capacity and cost improvements that come with sharing wide area surveillance across country borders.

In addition, Era will host the industry at the ATC Global reception on March 12, from 5:30 – 7:30PM at the Holland Restaurant, centrally located between the two main exhibit halls.

Era will also sponsor and participate in the CANSO Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held in Amsterdam on March 10th 2008. The purpose of the meeting is to review the ‘Imagine 2010’ program, which is designed to strengthen CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation) to meet its increasing role in global air navigation services.

“ATC Global and the CANSO EGM are important events for our industry - especially now with the technological transformation of ATM surveillance around the world” said Era’s Russell Hulstrom. “These events provide a tremendous opportunity for a truly global dialogue about how we can work together to shape the future of air traffic management.”

Era’s exhibition, meeting rooms and Internet café will be located at Stand D520.

Era systems are the most widely selected and operationally proven ADS-B and multilateration systems in the industry.  Era has been chosen in the vast majority of competitive procurements worldwide and has deployed systems in over 35 countries, including the world’s first surface and wide area multilateration systems.
