Miami joins Rannoch’s recent clients; Fort Lauderdale Executive, West Palm Beach International, Tallahassee Regional, Sarasota International, Orlando International, representing 5 of the 19 airports in Florida that have scheduled commercial service. The company has scaled up operations in Florida and has four permanently-based technical support staff available in three locations throughout the Sunshine State. “We are pleased to welcome these nonfederal clients to our growing airport management and flight tracking client base,” commented Sam Carter, who has represented Rannoch in Florida since 2003. “The company’s technologies, local presence, and reputation for quality technical support have contributed to our success in Florida. The U.S. non-federal market is a large and growing area for Rannoch and a perfect fit for our monitoring hardware and software technologies.” Florida is served by one of the most comprehensive and progressive airport systems in the country, including 19 airports that have scheduled commercial airline service, 112 general aviation airports, 12 military airfields, and 555 privately owned airports. The company’s flagship product, AirScene,combines a variety of aircraft tracking technologies including multilateration and automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) to provide a high fidelity real-time aircraft tracking solution that has air traffic control, non federal, commercial, general aviation, and military applications. In addition to serving Florida airports directly the company supports several state-wide aviation initiatives. In partnership with Florida’s Department of Aviation, Rannoch is a member of the States’ Small Aircraft Transportation System (SATS) program, which is charged with introducing new aviation technologies to the smaller general aviation airports throughout Florida.
