SRA Names Kevin Layton Senior Vice President of Air Traffic Systems

FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to government organizations, today announced two new executive leadership appointments. David L. Matthews has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President (SVP), Technical Operations, where he will provide technical and engineering services and support to SRA's business units. Kevin Layton, who has served as SVP for Technical Operations, has been named SVP of Air Traffic Systems, a new strategic business unit in the National Security Sector (NSS).

As the head of Technical Operations, Matthews will focus on developing and deploying common, standardized engineering practices, overseeing technical delivery and management, and building a strong bench of skilled engineering practitioners to support evolving business needs. Matthews will report to SRA President & CEO Stan Sloane.

Matthews brings more than 33 years of functional and program management experience for the Department of Defense, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international customers to this position. Prior to joining SRA, he served as Vice President for Engineering Project Management at Sensis Corporation, where he led the execution of a ground/air task oriented radar program and provided engineering activity definition and programmatic support.

Supporting clients in civil government and national security, Layton will grow the company's footprint in the air surveillance and flight tracking markets as well as capitalizing on SRA's recent acquisition of Era Systems Corporation, a provider of advanced surveillance technologies for the air traffic management, airport operations, military and security markets. Layton will report to SRA's SVP of NSS Pat Burke.
