WebScene represents the third generation of airport management websites, offering airports with a variety of hosting options, advanced security, and a broad range of user selectable features. Airports can opt to access the system through the internet or through secure internal intranets. WebScene features a scalable approach to operations management, allowing users to select from several levels of functionality, for different classes of users ranging from senior airport management to the general public and the airport’s users. WebScene exclusively uses Rannoch Corporation’s AirScene multilateration and automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) surveillance. AirScene is the only multilateration system available on the market that is suitable for airport management applications in North America. The combination of these patented technologies provides an unparalleled level of flight tracking accuracy and aircraft identification, all in real time. Since WebScene is managed under contract with Rannoch Corporation, it is the only web-based solution on the market that can provide independent aircraft tracking and identification throughout all desired areas of coverage at an airport. Powered by the company’s autonomous multilateration flight tracking system, WebScene provide a portal for monitoring, reporting, and analyzing en route, terminal, and surface operations. Planned enhancements to the software, to be released in early 2006 include gate and ramp management tracking and assignment. “Rannoch pioneered airport operations monitoring over the Internet in the late 1990s,” commented Chris Rossano, Rannoch’s Software Development Manager. “Rannoch again pushes the state-of-the-art in airport management with its third generation web application. WebScene offers airports complete control over their critical data for operations, environmental, and financial management. Rannoch’s WebScene enables airports to manage their resources quickly, efficiently, and simply with the most comprehensive real-time view of their data on the web,” added Rossano. Initial airports slated to receive WebScene include Logan International Airport, Hanscom Field Airport,Ohio State University Airport, San Antonio International Airport, Raleigh Durham International Airport, T. F. Green State Airport, Indianapolis International Airport, and Louisville International Airport. |
