Symphony

symphony-screenshot-on-treosymphony-screenshotAirScene.com Symphony provides airline and airport personnel with real-time shared situational awareness. Symphony gives users a tool to optimize, track and report resource utilization, improve gate management and orchestrate ramp movements. Symphony utilizes existing flight data sources, which can be augmented by additional flight tracking systems to provide complete, reliable and accurate surface coverage.

Optional tracking systems for Symphony include Era’s award-winning MSS multilateration technology to identify and track cooperative targets, such as aircraft and vehicles that emit transponder signals. Non-cooperative targets, those that are not emitting a transponder signal, are tracked using a combination of Surface Movement Radar (SMR), Millimeter Wave Sensors (MWS) and camera tracking systems. Symphony’s ability to integrate a variety of different sources allows the system to track and identify aircraft and vehicles in all areas, including runways, taxiways, ramps, gates and cargo areas in all meteorological conditions.

Symphony integrates the unparalleled decision support tools from industry leader Metron Aviation to provide predictive capabilities and Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) for planning, scheduling and improving airport resource use, effectiveness and efficiency. Symphony has the unique ability to report the past, display the present and predict the future — something no other system available today can provide.

Symphony generates audible and visual warnings, alerts and alarms and provides decision support and planning tools. The data can be displayed on the airport’s workstation computers, through the web, and on portable devices such as smartphones. Symphony enables replaying historical data for analysis, allowing airports and airline operators to perform root cause analysis and incorporate lessons learned in operations planning. In addition, Symphony provides the ability to forecast airport operations in the future, enabling airport operators and users to more effectively plan and manage field operations such as runway maintenance and closures.

Through Symphony, airports and airlines have access to a common shared information database, decision and optimization support tools and tailored end-user applications to meet the specific requirements of each user. The cascading benefits created by providing real-time, shared situational awareness, performance monitoring and predictive capabilities to users can significantly and fundamentally improve airport operations, efficiency and safety. Symphony also provides detailed statistics for monitoring, measuring and promoting performance, including real-time and historic Passenger Bill of Rights compliance monitoring.
